New for 2017 – Low Carbon grants for business

Low Carbon Across the South East (LoCASE) ia new green programme for businesses launched by the government. The programme is designed to help SMEs to optimise their use of resources and adopt low carbon solutions. It’s all about low carbon solutions that will improve business performance and profitability and help protect the environment.

This business support programme has funding of £18.5 million available and runs for 3 years. There are 2 types grant (maximum of £10,000) – match funded with 40% from LoCASE and 60% from the participating business.

The qualification criteria is-

  1. Any business qualifies to use the funding (up to £5,000) towards energy efficiency measures installed for their business, with both the cost of materials and installation included.
  2. If your business supplies low carbon goods or services, a business development grant is available – maximum of £10,000. Claims can be made for costs and overheads including marketing, consultancy, equipment, IT software, licences, training and certification.
